Stroud Build a Plane

Stroud High School’s Boeing Build-a-plane Rans S6 was featured on BBC News yesterday evening and this morning. The aircraft was completed with the help of LAA mentors David Joyce and Ray Lewis and LAA Inspector Roger Targett.

In the news item, Ray is piloting the aircraft with one of the pupils,  Alice McEllin, in the passenger seat. Alice, who helped build the aircraft and, was among eight pupils who received Breitling Certificates of Recognition of their work on the project at the Royal Aeronautical Society Awards Ceremony at the RAF Club in London last year.
