A fantastic weekend of fun and entertainment is being laid on at our annual Rally as part of the Association’s 70th anniversary, this will certainly be a Rally to remember!

 

There will be a display of aircraft representing the seven decades of the Association, each accompanied by a motorcycle from the same era. The more fragile examples will be in an additional large marquee with the remainder outside.

 

We won’t however, only be looking back, much as we have plenty to be proud of; the LAA is also about today and into the future, so we will be looking ahead to some of the exciting new aircraft and systems technologies that we have to look forward to.

We will also see the return of an old favourite with a ‘Speakers Corner’ our new seminar location. There we will present some high profile speakers commenting on a wide range of subjects throughout the event. Sponsored by Adams Aviation and Garmin

 

 

 

The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down either, though plans are still being made for the Friday evening in Hangar 1, on Saturday night we have all the fun and music of the Mariachi Band that proved such a hit last year. For those looking for a quieter time, the on site Aviator bar and restaurant offers an alternative, with food and drink and somewhere more peaceful to catch up with friends.

 

There is much more being planned for our Anniversary Rally, and once plans are finalised we will add details here, and obviously announce them in Light Aviation. Rest assured this will be a Rally like no other before it, and you certainly won’t want to miss it. MAKE A DATE NOW FOR SEPTEMBER 2/3/4.
