The Association is marketing a special WINGS timepiece designed especially for pilots, and £50 from each sale will support the LAA Armstrong Isaacs Fund, which provides under 30s with bursaries to progress their flight training. Unique in design, it is made from the finest materials and features a SWISS gold-plated four jewel movement. The case and dial of the watch mimic a traditional altimeter and are double anti-reflective coated. Red Chevron Links can be added to the watch band to display a pilot’s achievements and ratings. On the clasp of the watch is a deep engraving of the WINGS logo. The watch comes with a specially designed case bearing the WINGS logo and is priced at £250, plus delivery.

The WINGS Watch Company was conceived in 1977 by American pilot Frank Christian, initially as a first solo present for his son Edward. He later went on to fly F-15 Eagle fighters in combat over Iraq and is now a Delta Airlines captain and enthusiastic sport aviator.

“In creating the WINGS Watch”, says Frank Christian, “we have used the finest materials and the best timepiece manufacturing techniques that money can buy. It’s what a true pilot deserves! The WINGS Watch says so much about you as a pilot and your status within the aviation world”.
