Dear LAA Members and Fellow Flyers

Following an airfield inspection today by myself and fellow strut committee members, we regret to announce that this Sunday's Wessex Strut annual fly-in at Henstridge has been cancelled.

The very long spell of wet weather has not allowed the airfield to dry out in time. Many large areas of the field (including backtrack taxi areas) are still not only too wet, but have not been able to be cut or rolled, leaving us without sufficient areas to park visiting aeroplanes.

Thank you for either volunteering to help over the weekend or good wishes, but this year the weather gods have not been kind. We have more rain forecast this week which won't help!!

We are sorry about this, but we look forward to our 2019 fly-in.
