Boston aerodrome was opened in the 1930’s.
Very early on Sir Alan Cobhams Flying Circus visited giving rides and demonstrations to the local community.
In the last war, Boston was used for crop spraying, making a huge contribution to the UK’s food supply. A company called based themselves here for many years, called the Lincs Aerial Spraying Company.
A nice grass aerodrome for the summer, with a friendly welcome. Please join overhead. A hedge is at one end with a sports field and rugby posts adjacent to the runway. A ditch is near to the runway at the West end of the runway on the North side.
