Cumbernauld Airport (ICAO: EGPG) is located 16 NM (30 km; 18 mi) northeast of Glasgow at Cumbernauld in North Lanarkshire, Scotland.


The new airport was opened by the Cumbernauld Development Corporation in the late 1980s. Before the new airport was constructed there was a grass strip in use on the same site.


Cumbernauld Airport is conveniently located close to the central Scotland motorway network.


The Airport provides many services to both private and commercial clients, for pleasure and business. The Airport has a range of facilities including flying instruction, air charter and helicopter services.


The Airport is close to a number of hotels and excellent golf courses.  The Westerwood Golf Course was designed by Seve Ballasteros and Dave Thomas.
You can visit the historic attractions at Bannockburn, the William Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Edinburgh Castle. Not forgetting M&D's theme park, Glasgow Science Centre, Edinburgh Festival, T in the Park, the Royal Highland Show and the Scottish Open

.
A Pooleys shop is on site, as well as a café 08.00-16.00. AVGAS and Jet A1 available. Radio is 120.600, please avoid flying over local villages.
