Set deep amongst the lovely Cotswold countryside, Kemble makes for a great visit. The Av8 restaurant was refurbished earlier this year, and offers a good menu. Looking out onto the apron, a wide range of aircraft can pass the windows. “Grosmos “ Gromit has arrived from Bristol at his new airport home, so take the kids to say hello to one of TV’s most popular characters. Cotswold Water Park is not far away where you can water ski and enjoy other watery activities www.waterpark.org.

There’s  also  great bird watching opportunities, as well as angling and archery at the park. There are Local hotels to stay in. Built in 1938 the airfield has had a varied life, with both the RAF, USAF and UK Army being resident there.

The RAF Red Arrows with the Folland Gnat were based there as well, often practising over the airfield. If visiting PPR  first, AVGAS and Jet A1 available.  Radio is 118.900.
