Located within a short walking distance of Old Sarum Castle, the airfield offers a lovely place to visit. Salisbury and Stonehenge can be visited via taxi or bus, and the aerodrome has some listed World War one hangers still in use. The restaurant has just been newly refurbished. Sit and watch the parachuting and visiting aircraft. The Boscombe Down Museum is on site, but closed on Monday’s.
Radio is 123.200. Avgas and Jet A1. No straight in Approach, and no orbits.
The airfield is located within the Boscombe Down MATZ, ATZ H24. Be careful of a bump in the runway.
