One of the most friendly and popular airfields in the UK, you can never be sure what type of aircraft will turn up next. The smallest type LAA aircraft to an Antonov AN-2 are based here. Tea and coffee are always available during the week with meals at weekends. The new flying season gets officially underway here with the Popham Microlight Fair and the Aerojumble held over the first bank holiday in May.

Look out for the odd Spitfire or Hurricane buzzing the place. Now run by Gerry Smith who has taken over from the well known – now retired - Dick Richardson, Popham offers two grass runways. Be careful when approaching from the East on runway 26 as you need to fly around the petrol filling station next to the A303.

Have a look at the calendar as Popham holds many fly-ins over the summer months, as well as vintage motorbike meets. Radio is 129.800
