This ex RAF Airfield, situated in the North East of Scotland is home to the Buchan Aero Club, famed for it’s friendly, welcome to all that visit the airfield, whether it be by air or road.
The airfield is steeped in military history, being an RAF base during the second world war, and many of the features still remain, to remind us all of the great sacrifice made during that time.
The Buchan Aero Club uses only a small proportion of the airfield today, on 500m of the former 28/10 runway.
In a great area for touring. PPR essential please, as there is intense helicopter activity nearby. Do not overfly Torterston or other nearby residential buildings.
